I recently started getting a survey pop up questionare from various websites I had visited.
For example if I had been to Costco. com I would get one, saying If I fill it out I will get a 100.00 cash card from Costco. same with best buy, target and walmart.
Reading the fine print These sites are not affiliated with the any of the true sites.
They are looking for your info.
I have Mcaffe installed as I lost the kapersky key so I don't have that as my secuity right now. don't know if the Kapersky would of detected this a a malware or not but Mcaffe certainly did not.
I did run the Spybot search and destroy, ccleaner and it seems to have cleaned up the problem.
anyone else have this.

Some sites have this. I can't remember Costco having it but that don't mean nothing I do remember places like best buy and even Microsoft does.

I have gotten a few of those questionnaires but have decided not to fill them in. They sometimes offer prizes as a reward for giving info. More bothersome to me is the great increase I've gotten lately from people wanting to be added to my MSN contact list. I have chosen to be automatically signed in to my hotmail account when I open my computer and invariably someone will be requesting to be added to my contact list. I 'know' that its a spammer so I just click the no option and the option to report the person as a spammer. I say 'I know that its a spammer' because together with this increase is an increase in junk mail mentioning my name!

Get spybot S&D ([Only registered and activated users can see links] ot_search_destroy%2F&rct=j&q=spybot&ei=EGOZS5XYCpCi0gSAl9jvCw&usg=AFQjCNGDBufIPZdAO7t1e9aq6k7D8SBriA) scanning as well as A-Squared ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). Both excellent programs. Sounds like you " could " have a little adware Brad. ?
