:help: I think that i would like to just use 4200 as my target size for all of my backup. Is there anyway to just set it once and it will be retained in the settings or do we have to do it each time :question_mark:

I have set my burn speed to 2.4x (3324 KB/s) is it alright to do this for all backup :question_mark: also it seems to retain this in the settings.

Could some one give us newby's an ideal of what the settings should be set at for NORMAL? backups. I know that some computers are different (such as CPU Engine) but isn't most of the setting just general :question_mark:

If you guys don't mind i would like to ask a couple of question a day. I do not want to be a pest. I know that this is what the forum is for, but i also know that some time it is abused. :0)

I think you need to change the custom target size each time you burn another DVD but not remember as I not use that option too often. Could always try and see if it is retained like the rest of the settings and if it not you can make a suggestion in the feature request section to have it retain the settings. As for a 2.4x burn speed I only use that speed for my DVD-RW blank media and then my 16x I burn at 12x or lower but I never go under 4x burn speed for blank media rated as 16x as too slow a speed can be harmful as well. I use the burn speed for the media I use at the time that I know is a speed that works for that media as I have a large variety of blank media to use for testing. As for asking questions everyday go ahead and do that as that is what we like seeing is members asking questions

The set size in V4 is 4482 in the copy portion. This setting works great the majority of the time with the exceptions of a few movies. I have not been able to find a place to permenantly set this at 4200, it changes back to 4482 automatically. I change it each time to 4200 (it became routine). I like AGJ's recommendation in the feature request section. Now I've learnt something new today. Thanks.
