Bitsetting Help?

I don't really "need" to do this, since I've never had any problems with it, but I figure I should bitset my discs for DVD-ROM just to be safe - I have a new HP 940e drive and can't bitset it with Nero or any other program... does anyone know how to do it on this drive?

What version of nero do you have. ??? I think there are problems with nero 6.

I have the nero 7 premium package and recently i had same trouble with one particular drive. My cure was to update my nero via the update website. Then i went into the nero rom and set it in there as if you were going to burn a DVD in nero (but you are not). If the program allows you to change to DVD ROM with the chosen drive, Leave the nero program open and start the DNC process. If your burn with DNC and this is open and set to rom then it "should" do it for you. :agree::agree:

PS- This is a DNC support forum as you all know. Although nero has been mentioned it is only as a benefit to DNC and may give the chance to change the book-type.
At no time will nero be discussed or help given for in-depth guiding of nero. Only offered as a slight assistance to dvd next copy software.
