Should I upgrade?

Is there any reason to upgrade to the latest version of DNC? I have no burning troubles or anything - and I don't need the iPod burning features of DNC-Pro.

Updates are always improved in some way the Pro version isn't an update it is an upgrade and only if you want it. But I would always update to the latest.

Another words there is a 2.7.8.2 regular update.

Having the most recent version is very important in general. These new updates are released so you have success with the newer release movies that come out. If you do not update you will have problems in the future regarding these newer tittles.

Thanks a bunch guys! Should I just install 'over' my existing DNC installation, or sound I uninstall the current DNC and THEN install the update?

Actually I suggest a clean install for this as allot of new code was written on this version. Remember though pro is an upgrade and costs the plugin is an upgrade and costs Xpress is an upgrade and costs, the Standard is an update and free for existing customers.

I would do a clean install.

Remove the program from your system via the control panel. The run and download a program called Ccleaner ( google it if you dont have it easy to find ) and remove any crap traces you find. :agree:

Then proceed to install the new update. Good luck. And keep us informed how things go too.
