Hi there. :rolleyes

Is this the very first time you have installed next copy on this computer system. ??
The reason i ask is many have upgraded to this version from an older version and experienced similar problems. This was due to not doing a clean install. A clean install means completely un-installing the program and then doing a manual search and delete anything else that is left over. Download a program called Cleaner ( google it , 100% free ) and run it. Then reboot. Then proceed to re-install DNC and it should work. Some of the older files were conflicting with the new version ones and creating all kind or runtime errors. The only way to correct them is remove everything thoroughly then re-install.

But this was for the users that previously had DNC installed. If you never then its another issue.

I am not using Visa myself so cannot help to the depth some members can.

32 bit or 64 bit? I did clean installs when I was testing this to ensure all is well. Do you have all the MS updates excluding the language packs of course?

I'm using the 32 bit version. This is a fresh install on this machine, it never had any version of DNC installed. All MS updates have been installed. TX

I run Window Vista Ultimate and it has a few more quirks than business so follow this to the "T" as I tested DNC Xpress on my machine and it works flawlessly.

If you skip or do these steps not in this order you may not end up doing a clean install so follow these step closely as this has helped everyone that had any issues.

Try this :

Turn off any antivirus and firewall program!!!!!

1. Before installing an update please make sure you have your serial# written down.

2. Go to add or remove programs and uninstall dvdnextcopy and reboot. Do not save your profile and registry information.

3. Click on start click on search enter dvdnextcopy and hit search any leftovers delete them.

4. Reboot.

5. Run ccleaner you can download that below.
Download CCleaner 1.41.544 - filehippo.com (http://www.filehippo.com/download/751ed68330a1fa7712035248d9aebaab/download/)

6. Download and install the latest version make sure your antvirus programs are shut off while doing this.

7. Enter your serial # and register and reboot now you should be all set.

When you do a clean install also make sure your anti virus and firewall is off.

Credit to Microburn for this how to.

I have done at least 5 clean installs and have consistantly come up with this runtime error, but it occured during the last part of the ingest (copy-to-hard drive) process. After a few emails to support I gave up completely. It was a shame too because for almost two years the older versions worked flawlessly. Then about two months ago it started to sputter, having to attempt a copy two or three times before I got results. Then after a week, the dreded C++ runtime errors flag starting poping up "THIS PROGRAM HAS STOPPED AT AN UNUASUAL POINT" PLEASE CONTACT YOUR PROGRAM SUPPORT DESK"

You might want to go here and read this.

You receive a "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way" error message when you run a custom Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 program in Windows XP (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884538)

I noticed another thread on C++ error this might just be the fix

Cleaning the registry with a Hi quality Reg cleaner may do the trick along with a defrag right after a clean reg..

I recommend Registry First Aid Ver 6 " this proggy is very powerful but it does back up everything it does.

What tool bars are you running; yahoo, Google, msn?

try turning them off .

All my data come back to this answer for the run time error

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more informtion".

A C++ runtime error

This is a message one gets from COM Addins that are encountering or causing a problem that causes the host (program) to crash. It's not really possible to say much more... The is some tool or other installed that's interfering, but it's not possible to determine the cause at this remove.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
