I must tell you that in a world of business that is uncaring, unclear, and stumbling horribly over themselves, DVDnextCOPY is a bright light. After sending this, I have at least a third of my address book that would like to back-up their DVD collections but have been frustrated into giving up. Your tutorial is CLEAR, your staff both professional and courteous. I am truly impressed. It's a pleasure to shop with you.
I've tried 4 video copying progrms, and met frustration, misrepresentation, and total lack of "customer SERVICE." nextCopy works, works well, does all that you promoted...and has TRUE "fast-turnaround customer service."
A prosperous 2007 to your organization! My compliments to the company owner. Excellent business habits are a "trickle-down" dynamic.
Warmly,
Ron
I edited out your email to save you grief on getting spammed.

I also want to thank you for the kind words this is a striving industry in technology and the companies aim is to dominate the market. If you have any other friends relatives that what to purchase please tell them to and since I'm not associated with the company but merely talk to them ect.. I would like to offer that you can buy off this board too as I run this board out of my pocket and this helps on the costs.

OK, first burn with full registered copy of NextCopy; I copied an Episode Disc (Criminal Minds Disc three) with 1Click Pro, Episode preset selected, 8X burn speed, with CPRx enabled, and using AnyDVD in the background. I was not able to select the 3rd episode using player software on my test system nor on my stand-alone player.
The same disc copied with NextCopy, 8X burn selected and same audio tracks deselected as done with 1Click, resulted in a perfect copy which played using several player softwares on the test system and all episodes were accessible via the stand-alone players
So far the score is NextCopy 1, 1Click 0.
A good start for NextCopy in my book at least. :)

Kipper that is both good and bad news for the burning world. Many of us use multiple pieces of software for our DVD Backups. I have always loved 1Click for Full Disc or movie only, but found when reauthoring with their software it was hit and miss... This is bad news as it shows once again 1Clicks inconsistant ability to reauthor!
And it is good news for owners and people wanting to buy DVD neXt COPY!!! :)

Vinny, I must also second your acclamation. I am doing all I can to stump this version and without any success. So far, nothing but successful backups. I have thrown 12 different burners at it, more than 24 different DVDs, and have tried custom, movie only, and full backup. I refuse to give up, I know I have a movie or a drive or a system setup that will stump it, I have even went as far to change out 4 different antivirus programs; not even Norton could bother it.

After playing with the 3 day trial I must say, I am conviced that DVD Next Copy will be the #1 program..
The picture is great when comparing against Clonedvd and 1click after
compresing a movie down to 5 gigs from 9 gigs.
Compresses in the same amount of time as the other programs too:agree:
A little more advance then some but using the flash tutorial it was no problem at all:)
I just waitng for the price to drop a bit more..Then dvd next copy will be aprt of my programs collection:agree:
Good work Guys:thumbsupbig:
DOn't get me wrong i like using CLonedvd(as I bought the clonedvd and anydvd package) but DVD next copy is gonna give it a run for its money

Hello,
I've only used one other Copy software that was DVDxCopy. I've used that for a long time. I had not more installations left after buying updated Computers and Lap-tops, so I had to choose another program. I must say I brought the DVD cloner IV and what a piece of CRAP...... I then the same day purchased DVDnextCopy, and was impressed at the ease of use.
I had problems with Cloner and emailed them and to this day have never gotton a reply.
I ran out of installations once agian with DVDNextCopy as I have both a PC & Laptop. It would not allow me to reinstall after I went to Windows Vista, I had to reinsatll all my programs (this was my decision as I recoverd my PC) before installing Vista. However, when reinstalling DVDnextCopy, I emailed them and with-in a day I had not only had a response but given 2 extra downloads.
They were understanding and Extreamally nice in resolving my issue.
As I'd spent $70.00 on this program and only used it a few time, you can imange I was Pleased that they understood and extended my download of this GREAT program.
It's so easy to use that I didn't need to read any help issues, somehow I just understood the program and off I went.
Thank you DVDNextCopy for a great copy software. For me you are A+++++

Don’t try the rest, go with the best. For ease of use and success in backing up your valuable DVDs, DVD neXt Copy allows your computer (not you) to do all the work. The only thing you need to learn is what brand of blank DVD will work with your computer's DVD writer in order to play the backup in your stand alone player. Then the only thing you need to worry about is where you put the blank DVDs. Read further if you care to, or just try out the trial version. You will be pleased with the results. The only suggestion I would make to anyone interested in backing up their DVDs is to do a little research on the type of blank DVDs that are recommended for your particular DVD burner because each DVD burner manufacturer has different requirements and there is not a universally preferred blank DVD.
Since the US government (and many other governments world wide) decided that it's citizens were too immature to use DVD X Copy, I have tried to find an alternative to this easy to use DVD backup software (but what should you expect from a government that essentially killed Lou Costello over back taxes for his contributions to raise war bond money). What is amazing about all these petty lawsuits is that they announce to the world that *sniff sniff* my super powerful secret protection has been hacked by some computer geek and I don't want the world to know that I created crap, is a bunch of legal nonsense and only deprives the legitimate users of an easy way to backup their DVDs. Also, there are countries that ignore copyright protection allowing their citizens to freely distribute and sell over the internet bootlegged copies of new and hard to find older titles for around $2 a title (price includes a fancy case and a professional looking/playing DVD). BTW, don’t bid too high on those eBay auctions since they can just make another copy for the $2 price any time.
As a long time user of DVD X Copy Platinum (this is the one that the US government put out of business), I have been spoiled with the simplicity of this “just load and copy your DVD” software that has unfortunately become outdated and can only backup about 70% of the titles I own. In my attempt to find a new software that will allow me to backup my DVDs, I have tried quite a few programs with the result being they all require you to become a DVD copy expert or you will end up with a stack of roof shingles or coasters due to some little nuance that you might have missed in the copy/burn session or you have to babysit the process. Most DVD backup software typically require you to learn the different steps to a burn process, and essentially the list of what you need to learn and do is can be endless and all too often with unsatisfactory results. Some methods actually expect you to become an expert DVD hacker.
We have all lost DVDs due to unfortunate accidents or maybe even a bad DVD player and wished there was a way to backup our DVDs. You may be new to backing up DVDs and don't want to learn all the nitty gritty details that essentially require you to become a computer or DVD specialist/hacker. Want the type of software that you could simply put the DVD into your computer, and using the defaults, copy that DVD to a blank DVD that will successfully play in a stand alone DVD player without babysitting the process. Well spoil yourself because DVD neXt Copy can do it for you. Just like with my old trusty DVD X Copy Platinum, DVD neXt Copy allows my computer (not me) to be a happy little burner without requiring me to become an expert DVD hacker or monitor the whole process, just click and go.
Still having doubts? Read through some of the discussions in this forum regarding other users problems and you will soon realize that this forum is moderated by a group of very knowledgeable and extremely helpful people that assist users no matter what their level of computer expertise is. No snobs here (as can be found in other forums). Within the three day trial period, they should be able to get you up and successfully running the program.

I started with the first version of Next Copy and had difficulty getting Version 2 to get past the set up of the project. Next Copy help advised me to uninstall everything from the previous version, reinstal and it worked perfectly. The software is able to get everyting on one disc. I backed up Borat without any difficulty at all

The DNC sales support team could not have been more responive, helpful, and caring and putting up with my bitching and I applaud you all for this. They asked me to hang in there until this lastest update was posted and I am so glad I did!!! This new update fixed all my problems and the software works fabulous and glitch-free. Nice job by the techs...thank you!!!
Anyway, I hope all stays stable and I am able to make back-ups for years to come.
Thanks again.

Ive done some testing with this new update and am truly impressed with all the additions to it , BUT feel whats still holding it back is a more powerful transcoding and burning engine :frown:
Other DVD backup programs i use still read and write faster than DNC even thou it now supports 18x and 20x burning
If DNC engineers were to now focus on making it the fastest on the market, where would that put the competition

I look for quality not speed if I want to play log wars for example then I will go for speed, its the quality thats most important to me anyway! I dont want to forsake quality for speed!! and will burn the disks Im going to keep at half the rated media speed. jmho!!
BountyHunter
03-24-2007, 08:06 PM
Quality comes first in My book if you want a good backup set media burn at half the rated media re:16x set at 8x, fast is fun just for contest times but not recommended for good quality backups.
Microburn, if you feel you need to set your burn speed to half its rated speed to get good quality, then i would suggest that you change your media to a top of the line brand such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim as i find them both give me superior quality in both video and audio with the programs i use. Then you can set the burn speed up to 16x, 18x , 20X or MAX and have both quality and fun :naanaa:

As I said it is a prefference we will see in the long run whos backups last the longest and I always use top quality media such as verbs!!
dvds like anything else recorded will deteriorate with time so time will tell whos right.:tounge: and for anyone else reading this post I can burn at 18x with good media and they play just fine however with so many different users and new ones just starting out,I will always reccomend half the burn rate of the rated media so at least if they have poor quality media their chances of a good back up odds are greatly increased.

I first started with DVD X Copy Xpress a couple of years ago which worked fine for a while. Then I decided to try some others which was a big headace. I kind of gave up on copying DvDs until I received an e-mail from DvD neXt COPY I then decided to give it another try since, I did have some success wth DVD X Copy Xpress. Now I'm glad I gave it a chance because I would have missed out on something that REALLY works, and the support team has been the best. I just downloaded DVD neXt copy 2.5.8.2 and I think it looks and works absolutely GREAT. No worries!!!!:giggle: :thanks: :great

Rachel :)
This is because DNC doesn't use a transcoder nor an encoder.
DNC uses a StreamCompressor, this is all part of the DVD neXt COPY KVME
(Kinetic Vector Motion Encoder) witch is our dynamic compression
engine. It is designed with the future in mind and is newer technology
then the traditional encoders and transcoders that are now getting outdated.
Our engine is unique as it analyzes and recompresses streams in 1 step and
produces superior quality copies witch no other software is capable of.
DVD neXt COPY is the only DVD copying software on the market to use
such technology.
So I hope this clears up the read times. Also this is updated to be faster with each update too.

So then, do the engineers at NextCopy think they will be able to tweak this StreamCompressor technology to further reduce the time it takes to process (transcode in everyone else's terminology). I talk with a considerable number of reviewers and users who's major complaint if I can call it that, is the time NextCopy takes to process before the burn.
Me, I am in no hurry. Rather get it right the first time so I don't fall asleep doing it a second time.

I couldn't believe my eyes when DVD NeXt Copy burned a severely scratch disc in about 40 mins! DVD X Rescue was taking like 7 hours. I'm so happy I got my little problems solved with the software! Now, I use this software all the time, and it's so much more advanced than 321 Studios' DVD X Copy which was the best until DVD NeXt Copy. Awesome program. Keep up the work guys! So much more advanced than any copy software out there. Not even 1Click DVD Copy can keep up. Trust me, I tried it, and it wouldn't work on most DVD players. Plus, DVD NeXt Copy's skin looks so much better than 1Click DVD Copy's stupid DVD circular skin.
I love this program so much, and I'd love to see Games Next Copy! lol

Hello,
I'm an IT person by trade. I have, over several years, dealt with all types of companies, be it hardware, software, or service, and have experienced all levels of service, from a great tech, to a bad one, and a good company, to a horrible one. One, however, stands out. You guessed it, DVDneXtCopy.
I have been a client since the early days of 321Studios DVDXCopy. I decided to purchase the first version put out by DVDneXtCopy that supported dual-layer burners way back when. Did I want to pay for my software (who does there days), no, but I was so happy with my (licensed, yes, thank you) copy of DVDXCopy that I decided to upgrade. All my friends thought I was crazy, that I should just download DVDShrink.
Periodically, I get CRC errors burning a movie, so I get an update. Last year, (or two, I don't remember), I was told I need to get an upgrade, and was sent a link to purchase the software. I replied that, when I purchased my upgrade, it came with a guarantee that I could burn ALL movies. I was promptly replied that I was correct, and was given the link to the upgraded, and a license key (all at no charge).
When I re-image last year, my key was no longer valid. Again, I was given a new key.
Again this past Thursday (just before Easter long week-end), same thing. I new link to create a key was sent, and within hours (at the most)!!!!!
I must say, while the quality of the program is very good, the customer service here is BY FAR AND WIDE, THE BEST. The responsiveness of customer should leave most companies drooling (if they cared that much), and the friendliness and tone of responses is by far a leader in the industry. I have no problem at all (and have) recommended this program to friends, with the guarantee they can burn all, and the feedback has been positive, 100%.
Please, keep this up. If anybody has a problem with your program or your customer, I would chalk it up to the PEBCAK theory (problem exists between chair and keyboard), as your customer service is impeccable, your program simple to use, and your demeanours outstanding!
Sincerely,
A very very happy customer!
Chris.

We had allot of new users come on here and would love to hear some feedback.
Charlie,
Love the product just had a suggestion. It would be nice if DNC would offer an upgrade from express to standard or pro and give those who purchased that product and who are already customers a chance to advance to the top.I see you can go from standard to pro, but nothing from express to standard or pro. DNC could prorate and charge accordingly.

Great ideal, I'll pass it on to PR so they can look it over.

OK they actually do have something setup for those type of situations. Contact DNC sales sales@dvdnextcopy.com and I m sure they will get you sorted. Be sure to have your invoice from your purchase as well.

I am also very eager to see this Charlie. Not many other software's can offer this extended burning compatibility. Although all my current tower of burners all support this, it would be a great asset to the software and general flawless playback as a whole.

It would be nice when one uses the profile mode if there was an option to save as an ISO format.
