Would there be a reason why when making a custom DVD backup {no previews or extra scenes} that the copy would not burn. Successful analyzation, but the burn process is done after @20 seconds and .6 mbs burned. Same disc will do full movie backup. any thoughts?

did you remove the first root set if you did that may do it as the copy will not play if removed but it seems funny still it only wrote about 6mbs. check you temp. working folder and make sure there are no leftover files within it search for dvdnextcopy and you will find the folder only delete leftover files from within the temp. folder and retry.

another thing that will cause this is if the movie was to big for the files to fit on a blank dvd5 too ,make sure you did not change the default setting to dvd9.

try an iso image and then check the size of it first before you try to burn it and make sure its not over 4.36 gigs then burn it from the project library so you do not waste blanks also!!:)

default setting was correct. have not tried making iso file. would it make the movie size to big if i deleted all the trailers and extras?

well only some titles that DNC does have caused some problems making the the files too big to fit on a blank like deja vu and only if you were using an older version of dnc .
to answer your question it should make no difference the file size should compress okay.
what are you using for blank media this can also cause issues??

1. check your media make sure its not a cdr by mistake I have done this.
2. do a custom title and remove what you want but not the first root set.
3. select iso and save to the library aka deselect burn after convert.
4. read the movie.
5. now check the temp working folder and make sure the image is not over 4.37 gigs if it is its too large to fit on a dvd if not burn the iso to dvd.
as long s you have cleaned out your temp folder that should do you!!
bad blank media can cause your issue also the first root set is the one at the very top of dnc interface do not deselct it.

Try this : DVD neXt COPY Custom Mode and How To Do It.
Download DNC Custom Mode User Guide Here (http://www.dvdnextcopynews.com/Downloads/DVD%20neXt%20COPY%20Custom%20Mode.pdf)
I made this tutorial for everyone here.
When I do a Custom DVD (using "Resident Evil: Extinction", for example), I select only the root and the main movie tracks. Unfortunately, when I rip to ISO, it sits at the DVD menu and will not proceed. Ditto if I remove the root track.
However, if I do Movie Only, it rips only the movie but I don't now what quality it is using.
What am I missing?

I'll have to retry that method and see did you look at the usersguide I made?
