What Operating System do you use?

How much RAM is installed?

What processor do you use?

When was the last time you did a scan for antivirus and antispyware to ensure you do not have anything?

What Antivirus and antispyware program do you use?

When was the last time you defragged the hard drive?

When it does open correctly does it actually make a backup that works?

well I all honesty I do not no where to start so you never have had the program work once thats very wierd when you did the clean install did you find and delete the two exe. files that were leftover if you didn't and missed them dvd next copy will not work
I would suggest trying another clean install and this time make darn sure you include all hidden folders in your search for leftovers
and delete the exe.

do that and we will go from there follow the instructions to the t.

what version did you down load if standard give pro a try you will get three more days to try another DNC program each have three days.

I wish the company would make the trials ten days at least.

Once you downloaded and installed a version the trial starts then and even though it isn't installed or was uninstalled the trial continues this is done by a variety of things and has nothing to do with the registry. So this is why that is happening on the Standard version. Also this is why Microburn said try the pro or the xpress version as each is their own product and starts a new trial.

Well that's just one opinion from many that are happy. Have a great day.

I had the trial version and it worked 50% of the time, that is, it would copy a DVD and burn it to a blank, and sometimes it worked and sometimes no.
But now that I purchased the pro version, it never works!
Nothing that I burn will play in a DVD player, and most will not even be recognized by the PC as a DVD.
I can see the various VOB and BUP files on the disk, but what exactly is it that makes a DVD playable? I am using HP +R DVDs.
Most of us can be analytical if we need to, so what are the variables and constants that make a DVD either playable or a frisbee?
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

There is a lot of factors as to why your backups played and why they did not on some burns.
Media and quality hardware is vital to getting a good starting block. Some DVD Players can also be very fussy about what they play even though the players states they are all format compatible. Verbatim is the most compatible media available and it is recongnised by all DVD players i have used. A good burner could also allow some sort of booktyping.

Just some helpful info.
