I tried it out. Every time I run "Check for Driver Updates" it tells me that I need a connection to the internet. My internet connection is always on. Go figure :frown:

Hi :)
Not 100% sure.
But I think it is tied in with MS.
So have to have IE running already.
Even then it takes a while before anything appears on screen.
I take this too mean that it is actually checking.

Hi :)
I tried this in the past.
I'd rate Driver Max as being better although its database is linked to MS signed drivers.

I finally got it to connect & it told me that all my drivers are up to date.
To check (because I tend not to put alot of confidence in freeware) I ran another driver detection program (not free) & it says that I have 8 out of date drivers.
I'm so confused

Hi :)
As in my previous post.
Note the reference to MS signed drivers.
I believe that the tie in with MS will most likely mean that the 'latest drivers' are not necessarily the very latest ones.
But unlike other programs I have run this one has covered all my drivers.

Nice program does as offered. Note it says evaluation but you get the key for free.

Didnt I give everyone a copy of Driver Dectective while I had keys . stores all your driver you burn them to CD then when you do a rebuild you have them all,

Hi :)
I can't remember getting any pop-ups when I used this program.
That was a while ago now.
As it won't function on Vista 64 bit. :giggle:
