Thanks Charlie, but that program was not able to remove what I need to remove, somehow have a trace of Spysweeper on my system it even shows up under all programs and when I try to uninstall it, the Pc replies that it is uninstall, yet it is under the program and sometimes goes to the sytem tray. How do I get rid of this piece of JUNk.

Reinstall that program and then go into the control panel add/remove programs and uninstall it that way.

And also ralph make sure that you exit the program in the right hand corner of the tray so it is closed and not running then uninstall and reboot.

Spy Sweeper has been noted for problems.

Ralph with all your problems your having I suggest doing complete disk clean and reinstalling your OS , your having way to many problems ,while your at it do 2 drives as mentioned one for DVD backups and the other for your work drive

Just my thoughts

Ralph ,

There is also the two programs in my signature below.

You have Ccleaner , what is basic but effective.
And you have Advanced Windows Care what is a good all-round system cleaner and protector.:agree:

If you dont already use these then i suggest you try them both. 100% free and great programs.
