So readmetoo I been thinking about possibly setting up a raid on my server to help protect all my backups. Currently I have 5 500 gig drives which are becoming quit full what could you recomend for a raid set up. I think i wil eventually trade them up for 1 t drives

Myself, I do 0+1 stripped on 6 drives, 1 or 1.5 TB HD's my choice.

Please read those instructions real close before doing.

Saving my coins now for the new 2T hd's coming to go in the MacPro Im saving for.

I gotta say I have raid available on my computer and searched the whole internet looking for an explanation on what the heck is raid. You have really made a good impression on me with your articles ++. I do intend to go back and read it again 2 times as for now I am not ready. Thinking srongly about the back-up disc though. On Raid set ups make sure you have the power to run them the Power Supply is critical in this being there are so many drives.
