So readmetoo I been thinking about possibly setting up a raid on my server to help protect all my backups. Currently I have 5 500 gig drives which are becoming quit full what could you recomend for a raid set up. I think i wil eventually trade them up for 1 t drives

Myself, I do 0+1 stripped on 6 drives, 1 or 1.5 TB HD's my choice.
Please read those instructions real close before doing.
Saving my coins now for the new 2T hd's coming to go in the MacPro Im saving for.

I gotta say I have raid available on my computer and searched the whole internet looking for an explanation on what the heck is raid. You have really made a good impression on me with your articles ++. I do intend to go back and read it again 2 times as for now I am not ready. Thinking srongly about the back-up disc though. This is why Charlie an Jet Li have me here and thank you very much.
On Raid set ups make sure you have the power to run them the Power Supply is critical in this being there are so many drives.
