Well as usual in another mess as usual my Vista Pc came with the Realtek Hd audio card and really never played it untill now and not getting any sound from it. Have checked for the latest driver and dowloaded it and it is on the system but that did not help.

When I check the Realtek through the device manager it states that everything is Ok, driver installed and so on. Played the Logitech X54 on my Xp system and it play's ok, so I know that it isn't the speakers
the Logitech is a 5.1 speaker system, so trying to get the best out of the Realtek, right!!!!

Has any one had a similar problem? if so how do you fix it. By the way don't ask about the new DVd burner that received a week ago another nightmare. Should get a simple PC and just leave it alone garbage in and garbage out, well it appears that I am the Garbage.:whizz

Should stick to my trade as a investigator and leave the PC's alone.

I had a problem once and ended up reformatting but mine was z sound blaster issue. Drivers got corrupt or something.

Are you sure the speakers are plugged into the correct spot? I know it sounds dumb but it can happen. :giggle:

Guy's thanks for the replies, when I touch the RCA plug to the Hd audio I do get a buzz sound so it is getting juice, will recheck the connection and the book that came with the speakers and go from their..

I am unfamiliar with the settings but this is a configuration set up in the settings and don't think it is a driver issue.

That should be the first ammendment on audio set up 101, you were right no excuses but was tired last night and rehooked the wires on the sub, for $80 at BB you cannot go wrong. While I am typing this watching and listening to the system, WOW it is surround is great for the money, especially on Mel Gibson movie We were Soldiers, again Wow the sound is great.

I could Imagine what Charlie 7 Channel sound sounds like, it will probably blow you away.:dancing_b04::dancing_b04:
