I installed VDrive about a month ago. I had to reformat my hard drive removing it. I have tried to reinstall it several times now. Each time it states the software hasn't "passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP." If I continue with the installation the machine has a fatal error and reboots. If I cancel the installation it seemingly installs but I am not able to mount any ISO files without it stating I need to restart the machine for the changes to take affect. After which nothing has changed.

What options are there?

try running ccleaner or awc then reinstall.

HOW DID YOU REFORMAT YOUR HDD FAT32 OR NTSF

What virus detection do you have on your system, toolbars, there are a whole plithera of things that can cause reboot

see my sig link Help Us Help You!

I reformatted in NTSF and I have Norton Internet Security/Spyware. The machine only reboots after I attempt to install VDrive after continuing with the installation which it recommends you don't since it isn't "Windows Logo tested". It didn't do this when I loaded it a month ago.

I tried updating the firmware on both of my DVD drives and ran both the CCleaner and the Advanced Windows Care to on avail. Any other suggestions?

Turn off norton and allow the install regardless of the pop up and see if it works.

When I install, with Norton, and I "Continue Anyway" my machine automatically reboots. When it is restarted the "Found New Hardward Wizard" pops up asking for installation software for the "DVDneXtCopy Virtual Drive Adapter."

I can attempt to install without Norton and see what happens.

Please do. A reboot is needed to make the first vdrive.

I tried installing without Norton on and the same errors occur. Its not a reboot either. The machine just shuts down as the VDrive installation proceeds. If I choose the "Stop Installation" button the installation appears to finish and it actually installs VDrive such that I can attempt to run the program. Once I setup the 2 drives and reboot it never allows me to run an ISO file.

Is there anything I can do so that I can watch the ISO files without burning them to DVDs?

I was running 2 vdrives prior to reformating my HDD.

PowerDVD or windows media player can playback if I remember right. Might try using dameon tools it is free as well.

Actually I suggest this over Dameon tools.

There is still an issue of the reboot,

I suggest you this this.

... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

Now go back and enable one at a time till you find the issue reboot after each attemp.

I have Norton as well and I know it dosen't like vdrives of any kind you have to set it to ignore the vdrive or you will continue to have problems.

Would there be a problem if I have DVDneXtCopy on my D: partition and not on the primary C: partition?

When I attempt to install VirtualDrive it goes fine up until just after the Language.ini file during the installation. Any thoughts?

I will try the add-on management and see what happens. I am also going to uninstall DNC and put it on my C: drive. Who knows?

How do you have Norton Ignore specific programs or the vdrives? Is Norton turned off it I have it ignore everything?

Thanks all of you for your help!!!!!

ReadmeToo was right. If I proceed with "Stop Installation" it actually fully installs Virtual Drive but I think it is the Norton that is causing me problems with enabling a vdrive.

thanks again.

Norton No way it would not do that ,

I have a trash can down to left of screen for it just push it that way click uninstall , use norton remnant cleaner , never look at it again hit delete in trash can .

an alot of your problems even PC will disappear.
