Hey guys I know that this question has probably not been asked but here goes. I just installed DNC standard on my server with not problems and it works great, however when I purchaed the plug-in for the PRO version when I tried to install it, I get an error message that says that windows media player isn't installed and to go to support.

I am running windows server 2008 64bit. intel quad core processor 16gigs of DDR2 6400 with 8 terabytes of HD space.

Is WMP 11 installed? I don't have this OS yet but may try to get it later. Tony has played with Windows server 2008 I know but I don't know how much he has done on it.

Hi if you looked on DVD neXt COPY Inc' website it never says it will run on any of the server editions. I am looking into this but unfortunately I have to download it and then install it to further test. I do know it will run on XP server editions but not sure on Vista's. I will be getting involved with this so please be patient.

DNC should have no problems running on server 2008 its funny though that it requires WMP. as I have vlited WMP before from vista and had no problems running DNC interesting..:thinking:

I just ran sever 2008 and this is all that has to be done:

to install Dvdnextcopy on server 2008 open sever manage select add features check the box desktop click install this will install windows media player after reboot wait for the installation to complete now you may install dvdnextcopy a very simple thing to do i also enable window aero in sever 2008.

That littie update patch WMS would correct any other problems if the install did not see the media.
