Hello everyone.
Just bought DNC Pro (2.9.8.5), specifically for copying DVDs to my sons new PSP (slim & lite).

Managed to get the video copied across OK, however no matter what quality settings I use in the pull down menu, the video and audio are always out of sync sometime into the video. I have tried both Shrek2 and Blues Brothers and have the same identical fault in both cases.

I have tried the lowest quality settings up to the highest quality settings, i.e 768kbit/AAc/128bit, but with no success..........................Help!!!!
Regards, Matbruce

I think there are a few bugs with using the mobile settings that we are trying to work out with the ipods as far as I know you are the first person with sync problems on a psp I would recomend waiting for Charlie or Vinman to look at this thread to see if they have tried it.

If you could post information about the system your using as well it would help them out.
OS, decrypter, anything and everything would help optical drive model and firmeware, also download vso inspector and install it will check your firmware for you.

What is your system specs? Sounds like your system may be weak or there are other filters that's causing this.

Try this and post the info here please.

Hi, thanks for replies.
I have downloaded VSO, saved the file and uploaded it as an attachment.....(I think??), for you to look at.

My computer is a late 2007, fairly new highly spec'd Dell Dimension 9200, Dual core E6400 (2.13Ghz, 1066Mhz), with 500GB (2 x 250GB),Serial ATA 7200 drive and more than 3GB memory, (DDR2 667MHz). It has two DVD drives, a Philips DVD-ROM DROM6316 ODFN (F) and also a TSSTcorp DVD+-16531 D300 (E). The OS is Vista Home Premium.

The decrypter I downloaded was the one mentioned on your web site Machinist2.

I have now copied one dvd using your software (Blues Brothers) and when viewed on the PC, it played back perfectly.

I have now also deleted all Roxio (Sonic drag and drop software) and re-tried to copy the Bluse Brothers DVD across to the PSP. The problem is identical, i.e audio and video are out of sync after some way into the movie. I am sure this is something to do with your software copying to PSP, as everything else works OK when copying DVDs.

What next??????????????
Thanks, Nickg

DLA or drag to disc is installed it appears?

You might just remove Sonic altogether unless you use it for other things?

Hello.......................anyone out there!!!!!!!
4 days have elapsed and now no answers to my problem software. I bought DNC Pro specifically to copy DVDs to PSP. This is advertised as a key part of the PRO package and it simply doesn't work properly.

I need a solution or response that this will be quickly fixed or else a refund so I can look for another solution. I await a response with bated breath.
Yours sincerely, (getting slightly disappointed), NickG

GOOGLING THIS SUBJECT IS REAL INTERESTING.

Before you blame the software you should go through the SONY web site, Sony is always first stop for issues

Ive put Residentevil on my Samsung Gleam w/ a 4 gig mem card with this software an there was no sync problem , this tends to tell me its firmware update

How to transfer files

Connect the USB cable to the computer and the PSP system.

Press the [Home] button, which is on the bottom left of the face of the PSP system, to return to the main menu.

Navigate to under [Only registered and activated users can see links]

(Settings) and press the [Only registered and activated users can see links]

button. The PSP system will say "USB Mode."

The PSP system will show up as a “Removable Disk” on the PC. Treat it as any other disc drive.

Once you format the Memory Stick Duo there will be the following folders:
MP_ROOT
MUSIC
PICTURE
PSP
VIDEO

Locate your music, image, and video files on your PC and copy them into the respective folders on the PSP system. If you do not see the necessary folder, you may manually create the folder on the Memory Stick Duo with the correct name (be sure to have the folder names capitalized). Visit downloading demos to the PSP system ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) for information regarding demos from our website.
Copy protected files may not play on the PSP system.

Once the file transfer has begun, you will see a light bar on the PSP’s screen indicating that a transfer is in process. The files that you put in the MUSIC, PICTURE, and VIDEO folders will show up under the corresponding main menu icon on the XMB™.

While you may transfer various files types to the PSP system, if it is not a file type the PSP system will recognize (such as a .doc file), it will not be recognized by the PSP system. The PSP system simply acts as a portable mass storage device and those files may be stored in any location on the Memory Stick Duo.

Confirm that you have not used any unauthorized firmware updates (downloads) on the PSP system. Use of such unauthorized firmware updates voids the warranty and can damage the PSP system.
Learn more about approved PSP system network updates ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

Formatting the Memory Stick Duo may correct the problem. To format, follow these instructions:
From the XMB menu, go to [Settings] > [System Settings] and press the X button.
Select [Format Memory Stick] and press the X button.
Highlight "Yes" when prompted to format the Memory Stick and press the X button to confirm.
The PSP system will alert that "all data on the Memory Stick will be deleted. Are you sure you want to continue?" Highlight your answer and press X to continue.IMPORTANT: Formatting the Memory Stick Duo will delete ALL data on the Memory Stick Duo. If you want to try and save these files elsewhere, transfer the data from the Memory Stick Duo to a PC using a USB cable through a Memory Stick Duo reader.

If the volume does not turn up:

Make sure the AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) feature is turned off. When turned on, the AVLS feature limits the maximum volume of the headphones. For more information about the AVLS feature, see Using Sound ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
If the sound quality is poor:

If the PSP® is used in an area where there are vibrations, or if it is near strong magnetic objects, such as TVs, the sound may be distorted and there may be background noise. Try moving the PSP® to a different location.

Hello all,
Once again, just to be clear on what I am trying to do and the problems I face.
1) I own the original DVDs I am trying to copy
2) They all work perfectly when copying to blank DVDS via my virtually new hi-spec Dell 9200 running Vista Home Pro. Absolutely no problems here.
3) When I try to copy the DVDs to PSP, everything also looks OK, the file is stored in the temp directory. I then copy it to the 2GB san disc duo pro memory stick using the card reader connected to the USB port. The directories are all set up OK.
4)The copy appears to work fine until I try to play back any of the films on the PSP (slim & lite). I have tried numerous different quality settings when I copy, however the fault is always the same. The film and audio start in sync, but then someway into the film, the video gets ahead of the soundtrack by approx 1-2 secs.

What next????

I have followed your problem from the beginning, I tend to think it might be time to reload the PSP software, if it starts out playing fine just maybe its the drive speeding up but that in it self is a contridiction the movie is on the drive so movie an sound get out of sync.

Have you contacted SONY on this issue about your system an the play back issue?

I have spoken to DVDnextcopy about this problem. They inform me there is a software issue they are aware of, and will be corrected in the next software release. I had the same problem as well.

Many thanks for the info Steelfan156. Much appreciated

Its a pity that the support desk at NextCopy don't seem to know this fact as they are asking me to do all sorts of testing and obviously haven't read my support ticket description properly.
Presumably we now wait.............................................. ..
