What you should expect from your new iTurns PRO or FREE Software

Some of us bought iTurns because we are NOT computer savvy. We got iTurns with the expectation that we would install it and iTurns would perform as advertised ... Easily and Effortlessly free up the music we bought from Audible, the iTunes Store or other various downloadable medium merchants. To allow us to play it on the player of our choice. Music or audiobooks should be as easy to play as it was to buy it. If these mirror your thoughts, you've come to the right place. iTurns has automated the process.

What to expect during installation - Windows XP will get a tad persnickety about the installation of this software and the elements it uses. It will give you an error/warning message regarding the installation of a virtual drive. Expect it and allow the installation to continue or iTurns will not work. Upon installation of iTurns, check to make sure that a new CD drive is installed on your computer. Without this virtual drive, the software will not work. If it did not install, you will need to uninstall iTurns and reinstall it (INSTRUCTIONS FOR A CLEAN UNINSTALL ARE HERE ([Only registered and activated users can see links])).

What to expect while using iTurns - This is not drag and drop logic. It automates the process of copying your music/audiobook to CDs and writing it to your hard drive in the format you chose (MP3 or M4A). It will burn the first CD (as directed by iTunes) and then clear the virtual drive for your next CD in the sequence of your playlist. All this while you are enjoying other activities. Since it works in conjunction with iTunes, you should expect to open iTunes and create a playlist of all the items/parts in your music/audiobook. From the iTunes playlist window press the “BURN” button and make sure you choose the iTurns virtual drive, the CD option is chosen, and walk away. Come back to a mess of files labeled Disc 1, Disc 2, Disc 3, etc. (See the READ FIRST Suggestions for Renaming and Retagging issues ([Only registered and activated users can see links])).

The default for iTurns is for it to run on startup. To change this option in iTurns, under the EDIT menu, OPEN SETTINGS. Under the GENERAL TAB you should see "Run on Startup" with a pull down for choosing FALSE/TRUE. Choose FALSE to not run iTurns on startup of your machine, and press OK to save the setting.
