Hi :)
I got it it right.
Not saying which.
But a clue is I went from an "X" chipset back to "P".

lol !! I did the opposite from P to X. P was excellent. X is better .... lol :giggle:

Jokes aside they always iron out a few bugs that appeared in original releases. Problem this time its not another 775. Completely new concept with 1156 and again will have teething problems.
Although seeing the talked about pricing and the excellent 95w max power consumption they are good little acquisitions. The High end versions will cost a fair bit though. As always when released.

With all this info , this is why i went i7. The only down side to them is the 130w.

Honestly good article but not impressed as I thought I would on the i5's.

As far as I know Charlie the i5 will be priced lower than the i7 920. But I have also heard the 920 will be price cut about £50 or $85 to keep it a massive offering.
The higher i5 860 & 870 will out perform the i7 920 in most areas. Those except HD encoding and multi core tasks as the i7 has 8 threads. 2 for each core with HT. This is where the i7 comes into its own class. But the 860 and 870 series will cost considerably more than the i7 920 by the release time. :agree:

This is all theoretical data and tests though. Im sure in the real world they would all provide to be very excellent high end CPU's.

If you think back to the Core 2 Quad 2.66ghz Equivalent the Q9450 with 12MB Catch. The i5 750 would seriously stomp all over it. :agree: Shows the true power of this chip.

Over-clocking potential is good too. Low 95w CPU's always good to see.
